We humans are complex creatures. Prone to either-or thinking, and all-or-nothing living, we get overwhelmed and distraught as we strive to build a life we love. I’d like you to meet a little word with a lot of heft:

And is my word of 2022. And embraces all the messiness of my contrary nature and invites a sense of peace and practice into new habits. I can work hard and rest. I can love people and hold boundaries. I can repent and trust God forgives me. I can mess up and still be loved. I can write novels and not write every day. I can work out and skip a day.
There is freedom in and. Maybe in 2022 you will find it.
